14. One day, Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) and his army entered a wadin-naml (valley of the ant). On seeing Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) and his army, a namlah (female ant) warned all the others to "... get into your habitations, lest Sulaiman and his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it." Immediately understanding what the ant said, Hazrat Sulaiman (AS), as always, prayed to God, thanking Him for bestowing upon him such gifts and further avoided trampling over the ant colonies.
15. One day, when inspecting his troops, Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) found the Hudhud missing from the assembly. Shortly later, however, the Hudhud arrived to Hazrat Sulaiman (AS)'s court, saying "I have compassed (territory) which thou hast not compassed, and I have come to thee from Saba (Sheba) with tidings true." The Hudhud further told Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) that the people of Saba worshiped the Sun, but that the woman who ruled the Kingdom was highly intelligent and powerful. Hazrat Sulaiman (AS), who listened closely, chose to write a letter to the land of Saba, through which he would try to convince the people of Saba to cease in worshiping the Sun, and to come to the worship of God. Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) ordered the Hudhud to give the letter to the Queen of Saba, and then to hide and observe her reaction. The Hudhud accepted Hazrat Sulaiman (AS)'s orders, and flew to give the letter to her. The Queen then called her ministers in the court and announced the letter of Hazrat Sulaiman (AS) stating to the people of Saba: "In the name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful, I warned you to stop worshiping the sun, and accept Allah as the only God, with Sulaiman as His Messenger." She asked for suggestions from her minister and administration stating that "O my people, I know that you all are powerful and brave warriors, and no one on the face of the Earth can defeat our army, but still I want your opinion." The people of the court replied: "You have all the power, and whatever order you deliver, you will find us obedient." Eventually, however, the Queen came to Hazrat Sulaiman (AS), announcing Islam.
16. The angels were astonished at the acts of disobedience committed by the human beings on earth, claiming they would do better than them. Therefore, God challenged the angels to choose two representants among them, who would descend to earth and be endowed with bodily desires. During their stay on earth, they fell in love with a woman named Zohra (often identified with Venus). She told them she would become intimate with them if they joined her idolatry. The angels refused and remained pious. Later they met her again and the woman this time stated she would become intimate with them if they drank alcohol. The angels thought that alcohol could not cause great harm and therefore, they accepted the condition. After they were drunk, they became intimate with her and after noticing a witness, they killed him. On the next day, Harut and Marut regretted their deeds but could not ascend to heaven anymore due to their sins, their link to the angels was broken. Thereupon, God asked them, either their punishment shall be in this world or in the hereafter. They chose to be punished on earth and therefore were sent to Babel, teaching humans magic but not without warning them that they were just a temptation.
